Description	Neocuproine is a phenanthroline compound that is used as a chelating agent in a wide array of transition metal-catalyzed reactions. It can also be used in the synthesis of aryl ketones.Neocuproine is a member of the class of phenanthrolines that is 1,10-phenanthroline bearing two methyl substituents at positions 2 and 9. It has a role as a chelator.
